BRADENTON, Fla. (July 17, 2019) – BubbaQue’s, a Florida-based barbeque chain, has signed a 3,099-square-foot lease for its first location in Manatee County. Located at 6581 State Road 70 East in Bradenton, this will be the twelfth BubbaQue’s location. It is scheduled to open next month.
Doug Sullivan of Ian Black Real Estate represented the tenant in the transaction. Ian Black, also of Ian Black Real Estate, represented the landlord, SRQJM, LLC. The property was previously home to Boneyard BBQ.
“There was tremendous demand for this location because of the high traffic on State Road 70 and close proximity to Lakewood Ranch,” said Sullivan, sales associate, restaurant and hospitality specialist for Ian Black Real Estate. “Being a second-generation barbeque restaurant also made this a desirable location for similar concepts. Ultimately, the landlord chose BubbaQue’s because of its ties to the area and commitment to the local community.”
Owner Jason Kazbour lives in Parrish and is overseeing the expansion of BubbaQue’s south of Tampa. Long-term, he’d like to see the chain grow in Sarasota and Manatee Counties following the opening of the Bradenton location.
BubbaQue’s, which currently operates 10 locations in central Florida and one in Louisiana, started in Chiefland, Fla. The restaurant smokes the best cuts of pork, beef and chicken, and all sides are made fresh daily using the best southern ingredients and recipes.
Sullivan, who represented BubbaQue’s in the transaction, joined the Ian Black Real Estate team earlier this year.
“Doug’s extensive experience in the restaurant industry is allowing us to better serve clients, like BubbaQue’s, who are looking to expand their concept in the Sarasota-Manatee market,” said Black, partner and founder of Ian Black Real Estate. “This transaction is just one example of his ability to match hospitality clients to spaces that meet their current and future needs.”
BubbaQue’s plans to make minor cosmetic renovations to the space before opening in August.
